The
Théâtre Français.
The Théatre Français was designed and built
by Louis, architect, between 1786 and 1790. Talma and the first play-actors
took it over in 1792. In 1812, Napoléon granted the Théâtre
Francais its Charter, which is still in force. (Association of Playactors,
under control of a Government-appointed Administrator State Subsidy),
Houdon's famous « Voltaire " in the Foyer should not by overlooked.
