The
Palais de Justice, The Sainte Chapelle and the Conciergerie.
In the Palais de Justice one should visit the Sainte-Chapelle; this

of the Xlllth century Palace built by Saint-Louis, in the Conciergerie

still remain.
Famous people were held in the Conciergerie during the Terror, among
whom Marie-Antoinette, Mme Elizabeth (Louis XVl's sister), Mme Récamier,
Mme Roland, Charlotte Corday, Mme du Barry, André Chénier,
Général Hoche, and Philippe Egalité. Visit is possible
every day.
On the corner, by the quai, stands the Tour de l'Horloge (the Clock
Tower) erected under Jean le Bon (1350) with the Clock by Germain Pilon(1585).
