The
Arc de Triomphe du Carroussel.
From the Palais du Louvre, one notices that the Arc de Triomphe du
Carrousel stands in the axis of the Champs Elysées and of the
Arc de Triomphe de l'Etoile.
The two arcs ares 1,900 meters apart. The Arc de Triomphe du Carrousel,
a charming imitation of ancient art, was erected between 1806 and 1808
to commemorate the Napoleonic victories of 1805, each of which is represented
by a motif on the bas-relief.
